What you will need to supply -

You will need to supply several photos of your pet/ animal, the background should be clear, bright, and in focus. I will make the best decision on which image to use depending on composition, so ensure the images you send are of ones you like.

Photos need to be high resolution, and large file sizes. You may need to send though on separate e-mails or by phone (if you’re unsure I can advise you).

The eyes of your pet are really important to my process so please make sure they are clear and easy to see, this detail is key to the portrait.

And last of all to help capture your pet’s personality, please tell me the name of your pet, the breed and if they are female or male.

For composition reasons I only do Head shots of the pet, unless it’s really small. However, I’m happy to discuss this with you, it’s your commission after all.

 

Canvas, Sizes and Frames

All pet commissions are painted onto a mixed media Canvas with a White painted background (colour backgrounds can be discussed), the size is up to you, please see sizes along with prices in the next section.

You will receive the original Art work of your pet unframed, if you wish for it to be framed, we are more than happy to discuss this with you, this is an extra cost depending on frame finishes etc.

The prices below are for a single pet portrait, if you wish to have two pets on a canvas this will be an additional fee of £100 for the second pet, please note that two pets together on one canvas are only available on canvases from sizes 16" x 20" or 50 x 50 cm

These prices do not include the frame.

Frames can be ordered through us at an extra cost depending on colour and style etc. We work closely with our local professional Framers, to ensure the highest possible standards.

So, what’s next?

Once you’ve decided on what size canvas you would like, and wish to book a commission in, I will require a 25% deposit.

Pet Portraits take around 4 – 6 weeks, if this is a gift or special occasion, please let me know and we can discuss required dates to ensure its achievable.

 

Once the painting has been completed

Once your painting has been completed, I will send photographs for your approval. The Portrait is then signed and varnished, if you have requested it to be framed this will also be completed at this stage.

 

Just to make you aware, I hold the right to take prints for resale.

 

Collection or delivery

If you are local, your more than welcome to collect from my studio, or from an Event that I’m at.

Otherwise, all commissions are sent by Royal mail / Parcel Force within the UK recorded delivery; the usual cost is between £10.00 - £35.00 depending on Canvases sizes, prices on canvas’s will be confirmed prior to dispatch. You will also receive a tracking reference number to track once sent.
